2015 09 12 - Iroquoia Hike 1: Grimsby to Devil's Punchbowl (12 Sep) "Gerda's Trail/Barb's Boiling Point"

Our next hike is scheduled to be Saturday, September 12th, and is our first step into the Iroquoia club, which is the club to which Karen and I belong.  Unfortunately, Karen and I won't be able to join the hike as we'll be in Erie, PA for her marathon.  

Regardless, we'll post up details here for meeting locations and times shortly!

Hey folks! September 12th is fast approaching (YIKES! September, ALREADY?!)

We will be starting the September 12th hike at the Iroquoia 4.7km mark and continuing slightly past the Devil's Punchbowl. As previously noted, Karen and I won't be there as we'll be in Erie racing.

Expected Hike Distance: 16.8 km

8:45 AM - Meet at the end point: Glover Mtn Rd Side Trail parking past the 21.1 km mark. (I_016, No fee, 10 Cars, 43.209155080255066,-79.7738012277598). http://bit.ly/1huEWi0

Notes: When determining our end point for this hike, pretty much all of them required us to take a side-trail to get to the parking, so everyone will need to be aware of the key landmarks to make sure they get to the parking. For the Glover Mountain Side Trail, it is the first side trail after crossing Upper Centennial Parkway, the only major road crossing (4+ lanes).

Hi everyone,
Hope those who were able to hike this past Saturday enjoyed it. I was hiking the Bruce with some girlfriends up in Collingwood for a bit.
I noticed the schedule is showing Oct 3/4 and not the 17th? Does anyone have an updated schedule? I need to figure out how many I need to make up to get back on track. Thanks, Sue

Hey Sue!

Yes--the 17th was the one that got bumped back in the early iteration when we bumped dates for ATB, Sulphur Springs and Vulture Bait races. That one is now on the 24th.

The 3rd is the make-up for our May rain-out, and the 4th is the remnant to clean up Niagara Club.

So we don't have confusion with old copies of the spreadsheet, I'll create a thread here that accomplishes the same thing, but will be always the most current version.

I've added this as a thread under the "About the Hike The Bruce Forums" heading. This will allow you to see it without logging into the forums.
