2015 10 25 - Iroquoia Hike 2: Glover Mtn Side Trail to Chedoke (Sunday 25th Oct, 2015) HAMILTON!

Hamilton!

This hike is the one that got bumped from Oct 17 to accommodate the Vulture Bait race.  Note that we have also shifted the date from Saturday to SUNDAY OCT 25th.


We will be hiking from the Glover Mountain Rd Side trail parking (West of the Devil's Punchbowl) to the Chedoke Golf Course parking area in Hamilton.

Hike distance: Estimated at 17.7 km, so we should expect this to be a 5.5 to 6 hr hike (s/t change due to any wineries along the way).

8:45 AM -  Meet up at the Chedoke Golf Club parking area. (43.24620528353219,-79.90693453848023)  http://bit.ly/1QUgsKA

9:00 AM Shuttle to the Start location,  Glover Mtn Rd Side Trail parking past the 21.1 km mark. (I_016, No fee, 10 Cars, 43.209155080255066,-79.7738012277598). http://bit.ly/1huEWi0

Since we're finishing up so close to our place in Hamilton For any who are interested/able to stick around after, Karen and I will host a pot-luck dinner at our place--we'll supply burgers/veggie burgers and dogs.

Due to popular demand, we have shifted the group hike previously scheduled for the 24th  to SUNDAY OCTOBER 25th.  

Since the hike is finishing within 2 miles of our house, Karen and I will be hosting a pot-luck dinner for anyone who is interested in attending.

Bumping to Sunday turned out to be a fortunate decision, as Saturday was pretty soggy. Sunday turned into a lovely Fall day, and we made it through some rocky footing to Chedoke. With the side trail entry it worked out to about 19.3 km in total.

Thanks to all for coming and bringing your amazing treats to the potluck! Looks like we'll do it again on the 14th
